Study on Youth Inclusion in Cooperatives in Africa (ongoing)

Nascent RDO in collaboration with African Confederation of Cooperative Savings and Credit Associations (ACCOSCA) is carrying out a study on youth in(ex)clusion in cooperatives in Africa. The aim of the study is to examine the multiple and intersecting barriers that have led to the constrained participation of youth in cooperatives in Africa.

Capacity Building Workshops

From July 2010 and ongoing, Nascent RDO is facilitating a series of capacity enhancement workshops and tailor-made courses for local organizations in Kenya on a range of themes including: organizational development, creating resonance between development interventions and communities, enabling sustainability of interventions, strengthening income generating activities; stimulating advocacy for social change, strengthening research for transformative development.

Diploma in Social Development (Upcoming)

Nascent RDO in collaboration with Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), Kenya propose to deliver a Diploma in Social Development starting in the first half of 2011. The aim of the course is to strengthen the capacity of development practitioners in social policy development, research and programming. A call for applications for the first cohort will soon be posted here. (Watch this space)
