Nascent RDO chairs and hosts Stop Child Labour coalition platform in Uganda (2017-2019), a platform which brings together different partners who are fighting child labour in Uganda. Some of the partners under the coalition include, UNICEF, Uganda Women’s Efforts to Save Orphans (UWESO), Somero Uganda, Uganda National Association of Teachers’ Union (UNATU), Kyagulanyi Coffee Farmers, Environmental Women in Action for Development (EWAD) and CEFORD. The overall goal of the coalition is to build synergies with the different actors, share lessons and best practices, joint resource mobilization and enhance voice for elimination of child labour.

Nascent RDO as a resource agency builds capacity of organizations that are implementing the project ‘Getting down to Business: Accelerating Joint Action towards a Child Labour Free World (2017-2019)’ Nascent RDO has a role of giving technical advise to implementing partners. The overall objective of this project is to encourage companies and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to work with a community-based approach towards getting all children out of work to formal quality education in their policies and practice. The other partners working on the project in Uganda include UNICEF, Environmental Women in Action and Development, Fair phone, Solidaridad and Hivos Foundation.
